Jaffa Gate is the main principal western entrance to the Old City. Its name in Arabic is Bab-El-Khalil, or the gate of Hebron, as the main road to Hebron started here. Jaffa Gate is very much a tourist gate as the shops around it are purely for tourists. On the right just inside the gate, is the Citadel or the Tower of David. |
